We are excited to announce that we will be reopening our office on Friday, May 1!!
Things will look a little bit different at Med West Eyecare but we are all likely accustomed to change at this point. We are working hard to continue to provide a clean and healthy environment for your eyecare. In addition to our normal cleaning procedures, we have increased sanitization measures and modified some protocols to hopefully remove potential risks associated with COVID-19.
Some of the changes we have made include:
1. Phone screenings prior to appointments to determine if a patient has been exposed, having symptoms, or may be potentially higher risk.
2. We will be taking the temperature of all staff and patients upon entering the office. We will also ask all patients and staff to wear masks while in the office.
3. We will be limiting the number of patients in waiting areas to help maintain 6 feet of social distance.
4. We ask that a driver or any companion that accompanies a patient please wait in the car. This will help reduce the number of people in the office.
5. In addition to in-office dispensing, we will offer options to have materials such as glasses and contact lenses mailed directly to your home, curbside pick-up at our office, and payments by phone. This allows you to have options based on what you feel most comfortable with.
We are thankful for our patients and are happy to get back to providing care for all of you. We will be adjusting our patient schedule to minimize the number of patients in the office at any time and to allow time for extra cleaning and sanitization practices throughout the day.
This situation is ever-changing and we will continue to adjust and adapt according to recommendations from Governor DeWine, the CDC, and our optometric associations.
